There is no rule that says when you rest you must be asleep, so if you have trouble sleeping, there is no need to worry. A lot of women have trouble sleeping during the early stages of their pregnancies. Just make sure that you spend at least part of every day lying down. A common way to alleviate lower back pain in early pregnancy is to lie on your side and place a pillow between your legs.
You will also want to try to get some exercise. Obviously with your muscles cramping and the lower back pain you are experiencing are not exactly the best incentives to get up and go for a walk, but simple exercise is one of the best ways to keep lower back pain at bay. There is a wide variety of exercises that you can do to help relieve the lower back pain in early pregnancy. You can do mini-crunches, pelvic rocking or just go for a walk. You don�t have to train to be the next Lara Croft; you just have to make sure that your muscles get some sort of activity on a regular basis.
The early stages of pregnancy are often the hardest for expectant mothers. They are in pain, their bodies are changing at an alarming rate and, especially for new mothers, and they might not understand exactly what is going on inside of them.
